We also hope to continue with surveying in and around Shrewsbury. 2015 was our first year of looking for swifts in our county town and some hotspots around old industrial buildings, 1930s housing in the suburbs and the older housing right in the centre of the town were found.
Can you help us map where Shrewsbury’s swifts are nesting? If so please get in touch.
Would you like to put some boxes up – these really can help when natural nest sites have been lost? Do you know of a church, village hall or other community building where boxes would be suitable? Please get in touch if you do.
